Tomas Poblete

Much of my work is to a great extent an unpredictable reaction to something. A colour, a sound, a smell, and idea … all triggers of this reaction are related to something I’ve experienced and that in someway
become mirrored on the images I create. These are a representation of memory as well as perhaps my only means of remembering that which I could not describe in any other way.
All though still all of my work represents a specific reality, the character and mood has been tinted by my history and therefore it is suggestive, intimate and at times bears melancholy as a primal tone.
